Background Info

Started on tuba in 4th grade because there were too many trumpets. Switched to trumpet in 5th grade and played through 2 years in college (with a short stint on french horn). Trumpet set idle for many years until our church choir director heard I played trumpet. Well I started back up first at church, then joined NJCB, then played various musicals and played with the choir and band during football games while teaching high school. Still enjoying playing after retiring and joining a 2nd swing band this year.  

Meaningful Personal Musical Experience(s)

Playing stage band competitions in High School and getting to see fellow student musicians join Maynard Furgeson on stage for his encore Hey Jude.

Favorite Music Played with NJCB

Rock, pop, smooth jazz, swing band, classic rock.

Hobbies/Interests

Environmental work, pickleball, tennis, bicycling, golf, and helping others.
